He leads investment professionals focused on institutional and wealth management clients across the region, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, and Taiwan. Previously, he was head of PIMCO Australia and New Zealand; he remains chair of PIMCO Australia Pty Ltd and PIMCO Australia Management Limited. He is a board member of PIMCO Asia Limited, PIMCO Taiwan Limited, PIMCO Asia Pte Ltd, and PIMCO Investment Management (Shanghai) Limited. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2014, Mr. Stewart was with Macquarie Bank in Australia, most recently as head of wholesale distribution and of the Macquarie Professional Series, responsible for distribution, marketing, and product management. Earlier roles at Macquarie spanned banking and financial services. Previously, he held senior roles at Challenger Financial Services Group and ASGARD Capital Management. He has 28 years of investment and financial services experience and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of New England, and he has completed the program for leadership development at Harvard University.
