PIMCO Foundation

PIMCO Pro Bono Corps

In 2016, PIMCO launched the Pro Bono Corps to create sustainable change and growth in the nonprofit sector while developing colleagues’ professional skills and leadership.

We created this program in response to a simple question: What if nonprofits had access to the same marketing, technology, and strategy resources as companies do?

Running a nonprofit has never been easy, but the challenges facing executive directors today are unprecedented, and society is asking more and more of the social sector. We have top-tier expertise at PIMCO that can strengthen our nonprofit partners’ structure and support the talent they already have on staff. The PIMCO Pro Bono Corps leverages our employees’ collective talent and will allow the nonprofit sector to be more effective in creating long-term change.

The Corps is comprised of PIMCO teams across our Newport Beach, CA and New York offices. These teams are matched to nonprofit partners seeking to overcome an organizational challenge. After three months of working together, the PIMCO pro bono teams and nonprofit partners create new efficiencies and greater capacity, allowing the nonprofits to better serve their clients.

"To do pro bono well, both the giver and the recipient need to make a serious investment of time. Despite having demanding day jobs, our PIMCO project team members took extensive time, care and thought to learn about our respective organization, our operations, our challenges and struggles as a nonprofit, and ultimately made recommendations and gave us the tools to help advance our mission."
