He manages Japanese corporate bond portfolios. He is also a member of PIMCO’s Asia-Pacific portfolio committee. Mr. Kakuchi joined PIMCO in 2003.Prior to joining the portfolio management team as an associate in 2006 in Tokyo, he served as an associate specializing in analytics for clients both in Japan and the Newport Beach office. He has 21 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in financial mathematics from New York University. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
